have NEVER been trained or educated! - It's truly frightening. We have seen
SHRUNKEN carpets,
BURNT fabrics,
DIRTY carpets/suites a few weeks after cleaning
(due to improper cleaning methods), suites taking
4 - 5 days to dry, the list goes on - & this is
just the tip of the iceberg. Having so called 'training' by a carpet
cleaning machine manufacturer when a company buys a new machine, just isn't
good enough (especially if it was 10 - 15yrs ago!). It needs to be ongoing
and by the best independent experts in the field, to keep up with all
the latest developments. This ensures NO problems for all clients in what
can be at times a very complicated industry.

fraction have been certified as professionals by each of the
trade bodies below. Now that is quite frankly, shocking!!

All members are required to
prove they are the utmost professionals and provide a high quality service
to their customers, this is summed up by the associations motto: "Service
with Integrity". Only fully accredited members of the Association
are eligible to use the NCCA name and logo, and thus able to extend to their
customers the assurance this offers.
NCCA is the largest trade
association of carpet cleaners in the
UK.
The IICRC will show they are professionally trained, but with
the NCCA they must keep to a number of rules:
1) Honest, ethical
business practices
2) staying current on
the latest methods for carpet and upholstery care, cleaning and restoration,
and
3) Have current
insurance.

The IICRC Mission
The primary
missions of the Institute are to be the leading, independent, non-profit,
certification and International Standard setting body within the cleaning,
inspection, and restoration industry; to set and promote high ethical
standards, and to advance communication, collaboration and technical
proficiency.
Further, the Institute acts as a central conduit in the exchange of
information between all segments of the cleaning, inspection and restoration
industries. The Institute cooperates with all segments of these industries,
in whatever prudent, legal, ethical, and financial means reasonable, in
order to enhance product quality, value and service to the consumer.
If your carpet cleaner is not a close
friend, you may not know whether he has the knowledge or experience to clean
your carpet well. If you want
to be sure you’re hiring a competent professional, make sure he is IICRC
certified. The carpet cleaner
must earn that certification through study, experience and successful
completion of formal written examinations.
If effect, cleaners who are certified by the IICRC have earned
a college degree in carpet cleaning.

companies that are vetted and have the correct industry certification. They
only approve tradesmen and services that can demonstrate professional
standards and personal integrity. They have to prove that they are the best
in their field; reliable people who will turn up on time, do a good job, and
